Description
Silhouette (Silhouette Chord) is a fictional character, a superhero in the Marvel Comics universe. She was created by Fabian Nicieza.Silhouette has the ability to manipulate the Darkforce.
Like Nightcrawler, Silhouette has the power to shadow-meld, thereby becoming nearly invisible while under the cover of darkness, as well as the ability to teleport via dimension hop, using any available shadow as a portal. She can open small portals anywhere shadows exist and use them to attack distant enemies by extending her crutches through them. She can also now become 'living darkness', and can cause extreme pain by phasing through the bodies of her enemies. Silhouette also has enhanced speed, strength, agility, and sensory perception. She is a capable martial artist. Silhouette is also paralyzed from the legs down and uses special combat ready designed crutches.

very cool character. again with all the detailing just makes it a great piece, also the gradient background goes good with her, not to strong or over powering.

That's because they (moon knight, panther) proved popular successful in the past so the penny counters are willing to take a chance on lightning striking twice. Sil. never elevated to even that so there is no way they would risk giving her a chance. In their minds she isn't even a has-been, she's a never-was.

Isn't Cloak able to manipulate the Darkforce to a limited extent around his body? This is the first I've heard of this chick. And I totally didn't know Nightcrawler could make himself "dim"! Thanks for the info, links and mostly the art, which is as always beautiful.

I'm pretty sure Cloak can do that! I think current writers and artists forget that aspect of Kurts powers. In the old comics the artists kept that in mind more often. Check em out! Nightcrawlers face was always shown in heavy shadow. It seemed that if he was to just take one step backward he would disappear completely!

She's a minor hero from the new warriors. What can I say? I love that team! Even if you knew her you probably wouldn't recognize her as I drew her quite differently from her normal look. [link]
I like the character but I hate her normal look. Especially the heels. It's stupid enough when able-bodied heroes wear heals in battle, but a handicapped one?!?!? She has a hard enough time getting around!
