Description Jay Garrick is a comic book superhero in the DC Comics universe and the first to use the name Flash. He soon becomes one of the best-known of the Golden Age of superheroes. He is a founding member of the Justice Society of America and serves as its first chairman. As the Flash, Jay can run and move his limbs at superhuman speeds, and possesses superhuman reflexes. He also has an aura that prevents air friction from affecting his body and clothes while moving. Unlike Barry, Jay is a metahuman and while he has a connection to the Speed Force, it was not on the level of the other Flashes. Jay possesses the ability to 'steal speed' from other speedsters.

Nice work, this looks good, even if it is a DC character (long live Marvel, haha).
Everything comes together on this to make a great pic!

The lightning-flash on his chest bites a bit with the more shaded rest, but all in all, itΒ΄s a cool and dynamic drawing

Thanks! Tell me, what did you think of Infinite Crisis? Did you like it? And until what issue of Identity Crisis did you get? I still have to send you the rest.

DasTenna In reply to StevenVnDoom [2008-04-22 19:37:45 +0000 UTC]

YouΒ΄re welcome.
I got the first two of "Identity Crisis" (which I already had on paper )
I didnΒ΄t read "Infinite Crisis" yet (only the first chapter) but I watched through the pages a little bit and... Man, itΒ΄s kinda brutal! I mean, until the late 90Β΄s, they showed really bloody scenes only in shadows or silouettes or let the characters/narrator describe them... It doesnΒ΄t make stories more interesting to me when there is more violence seen O_o Anyway, "Infinite Crisis" seems to become some kind of BIG clean-up, like "Crisis on Infinite Earths" was in the 80Β΄s! I mean, the Superman and Lois Lane of Earth-2 finally dead, Alex Luthor out of the way (another brutal scene)... Superboy fighting against the Titans and Outsiders and killing quite a lot of them (and mostly heroes who wouldnΒ΄t be reanimated again because of their unimportance O_o Poor Wildebeest... And Red Star...) Was that Superboy from Earth-1 (whom they called "Conner Kent") the clone who couldnΒ΄t age all the time?

StevenVnDoom In reply to DasTenna [2008-04-22 20:23:42 +0000 UTC]

Infinite crisis is exactly what you said it is. It's the sequel to infinity crisis. As for the brutality, that was what the earth 2 superman and superboy prime felt was wrong about earth 1. It's too dark. Red Star is alive though. and yes, that was conner kent (R.I.P.) b.t.w. the final crisis will begin soon, the last of the crisis. I'll try to keep you up to date with it! any questions you have about current DC continuity, feel free to ask, it'll be my pleasure to help.

DasTenna In reply to StevenVnDoom [2008-04-22 21:12:15 +0000 UTC]

That would be helpful, since DCΒ΄s continuity is something that could confuse even Stephen Hawking O.O

I'm going to say this and dont take it the wrong way. You SUCK!.. I haven't posted anything in a while, and there's no way I can keep up with your awsomeness. I hate you, and keep up the amazing work.

P.S This is the best one yet. You really took your time with this. And Jay Garrick kicks ass. I'm glad your introducing him to those who know nothing of Earth 2.

Haven't had a chance to keep up on the JSA. All I know is that Green Lantern Earth 2 powers weakness is the goofiest thing I've ever read. Wood! Boo!. And I don't get Mr. Terrific. He's just a smart guy with a T painted on his face. I'm sure there's more to it than that, but I just haven't gotten into it. Still PowerGirl is HoT!

Thanks for the complement although I really don't see the similarities. There are probably there though, as you're the second person to note similarities in style between Jae Lee and myself.

i think the biggest thing(s) are you use of blacks and some of the angularness (i dont know if that even is a word).
