My pin up of Shadowflame, inked by comic book legend Karl Kesel of Harley Quinn, Superboy, Fantastic Four and Superman (where he inked John Byrne - my artistic idol) and colored by Dash Martin. This appears in the upcoming Shadowflame 20th Anniversary Hardcover along with my cover homage to X-Men 137. Shadowflame is the creation of Joe Martino. This piece is an homage to John Byrne's back cover to Wolverine (vol 2) #1.Related content

Yeah and to have my pencils inked by Karl Kesel?!? One of my all-time favorite inkers that has worked over Byrne... Karl said that inking me reminded him of working over Byrne and he pulled out "some of the old tricks" he used when inking him.

Shadowflame is currently part of the Powerverse isn't he? I thought I spotted him on a Powerverse poster Vince White posted elsewhere.

You know, I'm not sure. I think he and The Mighty Titan are in the poster but I'm not sure how they fit in the Powerverse, since Red Anvil has a pretty tight universe already.
