I had hopes for the mega evolution to be better than the regular but I must say it's on par actually and it doesn't bring something new that much. You only edited the body markings, changed the ball in terms of artstyle and added more hair but I was reaaaally expecting it to be more than this and less similar to the previous one.

thanks for the critique. I myself really like the design, i wanted it to be more subtle like charizard y or venasaur. Just wanted it to be more chinese dragonesque. I might do an alternate mega that goes a different route, which u kinda triggered me into thinking. So thanks man!

Alternate megas for the starters would be awesome. You could do Fire/Poison, Grass/Psychic and Water/Rock or Water/Steel.
