Here's a bit of work in progress. Need to adjust some of the model (want to change parts of the head) and make some more detailed textures... and then get it animated!As per, created with 3DS Max.

would you happen to nkow of the whereabouts of any decent simple tutorials for animation etc in 3DSM? i'd like to get ahead of my uni course but i've no idea where to look.

Sweet! Tell me, do you use 3dsMax 7, 8, 9, 2008, or what? I personally use 8, and I can never get textures so good
