Lore is an evil, manipulative s.o.b.---but just as he's about to murder them all and steal the ship, Lister will spill a beer milkshake on him.
Lore would obviously stumble toward the garbage chute, get crushed, stuffed into a pod and shot into space.

And theres the end of an episode where Lister looks out and says "Smeg"

they are both similar, but I feel Kryten is a little bit funnier.
Data does have a few comical lines though in Star Trek TNG.....

He does. I chose Lore for this because Brent gives him the extra life than he does with Data

If you really wanted Data, though, I would suggest making sure that the Data there is from one of the Next Generation movies, i.e. Generations, First Contact, Insurrection, and Nemesis. Any time before that and he doesn't have the emotion chip. He gets humor more with it in.
