Part 3:
This was a fun commission done for based on the United Galactic Federation troopers (space-dino-cops). This one is a high ranking officer who has just come home after a long day's patrol. His son drops his action figures and rushes home to greet Dad. The Mom, cradling her soon-to-hatch daughter, blissfully watches the scene, happy to be part of a loving family.
Details:
- The book in the foreground is titled "Family Album"
- Outside the front door you can see a UGF police cruiser flying by
- In the portrait on the wall we see the Dad receiving a medal from the Grand Council Woman
- Action figures include: Stitch, Ace, Sample, Kixx, Leroy +2 clones, and a Federation Trooper just like the Dad. There's also a stitch teddy-bear.
- *The "Hidden Mickey" can be found in the spot pattern on the egg

Excuse me - why is he coming home while still wearing battle suit? Soldier's weaponry, equipment and combat gear are government property after all and you can't just take them whenever you want for a showoff - just like you wouldn't be allowed to take a tank for a joyride around the town. He could be wearing some sort of uniform at most.
This picture - and this tiny detail with action figure of UGF trooper - reminds me of one true story, about certain GROM (Polish elite special forces unit) operative, who happened to work as a consultant for one of "Medal of Honor" video games for a while. According to this guy, his own son was pretty much unimpressed that his dad is a badass commando, but when he heard that his daddy worked on a new MoH game... he instantly became his personal hero. It is as much amusing as it is sad.

Soldiers and Cops off duty wear their uniforms when coming home often. It's not like he's wearing an expensive power-suit or waving a gun around.
It's just standard issue stuff. Also, this is the first in the series of commissions that establishes who this character is. The uniform is the quickest connection to the source material the viewer sees, allowing them to instantly make the connection of who this character is and what he does.
Yeah, one hears fully stories like that from celebs too. Young kids tend not to understand the significance of things.

I've been saving this picture for a while in my Inbox because I wanted to comment on it, but couldn't find the time. I'm not certain how many of the details were added at your liberty, but I think this whole scene is realized very well. They're certainly not characters you give much thought to in the movie, but seeing your concept of the child and the mother really makes the idea of there being a hidden depth much more tangible. It kinda makes me wish there was a cartoon episode or a movie that explored this dynamic a bit more. Very nicely done!

I can take credit for some of the background stuff, but the family and the action figures were the concept of the commissioner.
