Description she always says goodbye.
a winter bride peering into a spring she never knew...
a forgotten story your grandmother told...
a banging of the shutters, and creaking of doors...
nightmares, and sweat-soaked dreams...
a denial of the fact that she never left that room,
and to this very day can't understand why the sun shines, but falls through her....

The bride in life was a young woman named Margret who lived in a small Midwestern city in the 1880s.  She became engaged to a young man and a date was set. However  shortly before her wedding, Margret became ill and was prescribed Carbolic Acid (then only a loosely controlled substance) by her doctor. She went to the pharmacy to pick it up. However what she didn't realize that the pharmacist's assistant hadn't yet deluded the new batch. He had snuck out to meet his girlfriend for a "roll in the hay". As a result Margret got a bottle of pure Carbolic Acid. Over the next few days she slowly poisoned herself. Then on the day of her wedding she took one final fatal dose and died. However since she died so quickly her spirit was left behind unaware that her physical body had ceased to be.

That really reminds me of Woman In White, although i have never finished that book, it is still has a feeling of a person that it is real and with us but feels like its not here at all, if that makes any sense!
Well done on a great image!

oh my, that's great!
this expression, sooo feminine - and still making some strange contrast with the softness of these flowers... I don't know why...

(oh, cannot find any proper word, I'll just it)

beautiful and haunting; dust and dream, pale diffused sunlight, dark wallpaper peeling, old memories still breathing, toys in the attic, ago...

Your stuff always makes me want to pee my pants.
With fear or excitement, I don't know.

Wondering why you used purple on the bottom though.
Why not a more contrasting color. Purple is just ugly!

* is the exact effect i go for....thank you ^^ *

and purple?
it's connotation with spiritual strength, and esoteria..

as you mentioned.. it's not as contrasting as another color would have been.. so it's easier to use in the composition as a whole, as opposed to total separation of the visual fields....

all that, and it's one of her favorite colors

and thank you again.. that first comment made me really happy ^^

Nice.
I tend to like it with less manipulation, but it's good.
I love everything about her expression and posture.
