I love this! The Diviners is the best book ever. Can't wait for the next one! There is just one problem..I'm team Sam! LOL But i love all the charactersΒ from this book so... it's ok!

Well, that's disappointing to hear, that the fandom is so hateful, it's like REALLLLY have you nothing better in life to be passionate about so you must spread your evil thoughts on a fictional couple??? I get the Evie/Sam appeal but what made me really start hoping something would happen with her and Jericho as I was reading was that their relationship would be far from typical, because it develops so gradually that at first I really didn't see it coming, then started to hope for it, and was rewarded. Sam makes a good corner in the triangle and is a great character, like all of them, buuuuuuut his relationship with Evie just isn't as original or resonant with me.
So long story short dem haters be missing out.

haha, its weird like im not against sam/evie? cause i love their little flirty banter and sam as a character- its just that i reeally reeeally love jericho and i think him and evie is really cute!

I have no opinion about who she should end up with, but then again, I only half way through right now and I accidentally started shipping Theta and Memphis more than Evie and Jericho or Sam lol
The only reason I don't like Evie and Jericho more though is because I feel bad for Mabel about the whole thing.

yeah i feel a bit bad for mabel, although remember at the end there was some guy who was being nice to her and stuff? i think libba was hinting at something between those two! i cant remember his name.. is it arthur or something? yeah

Arthur Bowen, I think. I just finished it, so now I feel no guilt in shipping Jericho and Evie yes this is wonderful. I don't know if I like Jericho more than Sam as a character, but I think Jericho and Evie might be better as a couple.

Ack, I haven't gotten this book yet D: But you're making me want to read it SO FREAKING BAD and you're probably influencing who I'm going to ship when I finally get to the damn bookstore and buy it. Though more often than not, I ship the underdog pairing anyway. I'm such a masochist, hahaha. Awesome art though. As per usual.
And wow, people are so rude. They can hate a ship all they want for whatever reasons they can come up with, but the bashing isn't necessary. Especially when it's on posts of the opposing ship.
But again, awesome art, Syd. Can't wait to get my hands on this book. I love the era it takes place in.

hahah i probably am : P Im not really sure which is the underdog pairing here tbh. a lot of people really love sam/evie even though thats not canon. and jericho gets A LOT of hate, his character and the pairing. so yeah they're both underdogs? hahha

it's funny, i was always rooting for jericho and evie... i never imagined her and sam getting together in the end. it just didn't seem right. and people should never attack your art, i have always really admired it... especially when it's diviners art!

i agree, i feel like sam has his own problems and mom stuff to deal with to really be focussing on having a relationship with evie. and i honestly think that jericho cares about her more than sam? like im sure sam likes her and cares but Jericho.. hes pretty protective over her. like when she was touching the ring or whatever and he was really against it cause he was scared for her- and then he like yelled at uncle will and carried her to her room, ahh

I actually LOVE this pairing as well, i bet its gonna be them together at the end. People really need to calm down about these things. This is only the first book, and i think there is suppost to be 3 more. Nice drawing
