Description a quick tutorial on how to draw fire on Paint Tool Sai
Step one; put down your base colour in whatever shape you want your fire (mine expanded so expect to have yours grow larger.)
step two; use the Ol Water tool to make the actual flames, use the Water tool to smooth out any rough edges that may remain.
step three; add your other colours into the flame (I just kinda winged it for this one)
step four; smooth and blend them out with both the Ol Water and the Water brush in a way that you think looks nice.
step five; here's where things get less tutorialised... Add a new layer  then use the brush tool in your darkest colour (I used both blue and black) and add some curves around the base of the fire, adding some up to the top (but not too many). put this layer in shade and change the opacity to however you please.
step five; add some more details to where you believe the flame needs. I added more shading at the base of the flame, used the airbrush tool in the lightest colour to add some glow (luminescence layer), i then added some thin strokes in the lightest colour in random places and making that a luminescence layer. lastly i added some specks of 'dust' to the flame for some realism and extra detail
Here's a fare warning, you will need a heap of layers so i suggest adding the flame into a folder before you start to add detail. Another thing; when you draw your flame and get to step five, dont really worry about following my words, just wing it. i just added stuff until it looked cool <.<;
I hope this helped!
feel free to show me any works you did while following this tutorial! i'd love to see what you guys can do!
