Description "RUN!"

Vignette began cursing under his breath, or as best he could with a weapon in his muzzle. He may have been a very intelligent stallion, but sometimes his ability to forsee potential problems proved to be a downfall.

The most recent of his mistakes: awakening a facility of insane robot ponies hell-bent on killing him and Shank.

Flapping his wings, he rounded a corner, a galloping Shank following close by. The clanking of metal hooves on the ground resounded behind them.

"Vignette, why did you do that?!" Shank shrieked as a crimson bolt of energy lanced above him.

"I 'i'in' 'ink 'ey'd 'y to kill uh' (I didn't think they'd try to kill us)!" Vignette sharply retorted as another laser narrowly missed his ear. He moved the pistol from his mouth to the holster by his side.

"Really? It never occured to you?!" Shank yelled as he turned his gun back to fire a shot into the charging roboponies. The round skidded off and hit the wall with a concrete-y thud. "This place is, what, 200 years old?!"

"The computer's systems were functioning properly!"

A laser blast hit Shank in the leg, but aside from a nasty singe it did nothing bad except cause the dark green unicorn to stagger a little before he returned to his normal running pace.

"Their internal components must have degraded a little over time!" Vignette mused loudly, grabbing the holstered energy pistol in his muzzle and snapping his head back to fire a bolt of energy into one of the robot ponies. As he did so, with the shot dissipating off the shell of the automaton, another two joined in to the chase, stepping from some gaps in the wall.

Shank fired a number of rounds into one, the AP rounds he had loaded in tearing through the casing and causing a couple of sparks, but the robot kept on galloping. "This would be easier if that robot you reactivated a while back hadn't been shot to pieces by the turrets here!"

"Argh, if only we had some sort of electormagnetic pulse-emitting device we could use to short circuit these damn things!" the pale pegasus said as he sped down another corner.

Shank lifted out a small, fat tube thing from his saddlebag, holding it up to Vignette. "One of these should do!"

"Just throw it!" Vignette shrieked, almost tempted to kick the grenade out of Shank's telekinetic grasp. Before he could, Shank pulled the pin out of the top of the tube and threw the grenade down the hall.

It clattered at the hooves of the first galloping robopony. Now, if it were a proper flesh and blood pony it would have jumped back or stepped out of the way. However, it was not a carbon based life form, and so kept galloping.

The grenade zzapped a little before a large sphere of arcane electrical energy spread out from it, the sparks coating its surface curling all around the robot ponies, frying internal components and causing a chain reaction in the muzzle-mounted laser weapons which destroyed them in a brilliant pink pyrotechnic display. The headless bodies twitched and spasmed, before falling down, smoke pouring from their necks.

Shank and his companion looked back at the carnage with awe, before turning to face each other. Shank leveled a glare as Vignette returned with a sheepish grin, his ears folding against his head.

Been a while since I updated this little saga, so I did.

I removed all my addons a while back to make sure gmod worked. Unfortunately, all the weapons Shank uses were in that selection, so I couldn't get them in the picture ohgodDSMwhatareyoudoingwiththatcombatknife

Anyway, enjoy, and let me know what you think.

Fallout's surprisingly tough, I'll tell ya that much. Fun, though
(Been playing it offline, so no official game time yet)

It is tough indeed. Though, that sorta gives it more of a kill-or-be-killed feeling. My first character went 5 steps, before I deleted him and made a new one. I totally underestimated the significance of Action Points

In my humble opinion, the first two games were the best
