easy there, it wonΒ΄t work in a single day. this are the basics so you can start getting familiar with messures, the objective here is that you can develop your own skelleton (or dummy) so you can later add movement and any pose you want for it. Practice mainly the first tutorial (female body tuto #1) for this. After getting to handle the human shape you are good to get into more details and features.
Again, takes time!

I know I just wish it'd take sooner, is all So I just create a few dummies to help get myself in the mix, is that what your saying?

lol took me years to develop the body figure you see here. and still needs some work I say
Do us much as you need in order to make it always well proportioned (head, torso, hips, arms and legs) (allthough this two lasts I havenΒ΄t made the tutorial yet) in the future, the dummy will help you to create hard poses and camera angles, keeping the human figure accurated.
A good excercise for this: take a finished drawing of somebody, and try drawing over it the dumy. You will find it usefull

I'll try to, but my printer and tablet aren't 100%, so I'll try it some other method

But geez, how on earth will I make it during my life drawing classes

tablet? I'd sugest to start drawing on paper before getting into the tablet

Then how do I draw dummies from pre-existing art?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StormFedeR In reply to megasean3000 [2010-08-30 17:31:00 +0000 UTC]

well you DO need the printer, else use a magazine! you just need a body to draw on a sheet over it and see how the skelleton works.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

Necroguru In reply to StormFedeR [2010-06-16 20:38:53 +0000 UTC]

mm it should considering it covers good topics that arent really addressed in most "How to draw" books and stuff, sinc emost people now a days are just looking for how to draw the human body(especialy female bodies, thos pervs tho i shouldnt be saying that probably, since the female body is a beautiful art subject... ) and most of the books(that i have seen) dont really teach anatomy or facial expressions and such. Cant wait to see youre next Tut

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

StormFedeR In reply to Necroguru [2010-06-17 17:28:42 +0000 UTC]

I got some very usefull on those matters, but are too extence, I tried here to resume into most important matters (those things that makes a correct facial). Next one I'll help out on arms and legs that it is where a lot of people fails in proportions and movement.
I hope I get free enough to do it efficiently
