The two seem to interact really well and it is so evident in this artwork. Eum, have you any advice as to how you managed to make it look so much like water colour or was it simply a texture overlay?

the texture gives it the appearance of a paper texture, with a few boosts of colors that were already on the texture. But you can easily add an overlay of color with another layer, and play around with that.
I colored it though with a lot of color blends, like smooth liquid blends.

But when talking about the tv show, first 2 gens definitely.
