The vixen treating my wounds is . This was a gift for her. It took a while, but I finally got up the nerve to give it to her....
The aircraft is a Pfalz D XII. I had intended to use the Albatross D III, but had trouble finding useful references. Unfortunately, the bracing wires have been left off. Also, I wanted to point out the double meaning of the title since I put a lot of thought into it.
Edit: I finally got around to reworking this drawing. I am much happier with it now. It has also been mostly inked. Some things have been left in pencil so I can try coloring it later... maybe.

Indeed. I seem to have taken one to the shoulder as well.
Unfortunately, the Pfalz D XII had poor maneuverability and was difficult to control.

I was thinking about trying watercolor, but I am not sure the paper would like that.
