Time for another stotty wallpaper
- this one is me experimenting with strata a little more, following on from `limnersphere s' suggestion to rough the strata lines up a tad. Had a yatch sailing in there at one point, but couldn't really get to grips with how it looked, it's been on my desktop for a week and well, the boat had to go...
As usual, Terragen, a tiny bit of Vue and some Photoshop colour corrections...Hope you like.

Anyhow, I like how the eye is equally drawn between the insane texturing on the near shore, and the wonderfuly colored sky. I'm not quite sure the foam near the shore fits, but it certianly doesn't take away from the scene any. Very good job as always

This piece has great balance, the foreground on the land has some phenominal texturing, but at the same time it is balanced by the sky, great work. The one thing that feels out of place is the foam in the surf, it doesn't quite fit that sort of a shoreline. However, it doesn't really take away from the piece, so it turned out well

Neat. Almost photo realistic.. the only thing that gave it away to me is the where the water meets the shoreline.. but I guess thats pretty much unavoidable. Makes a good WP though.. very relaxing.
I found your work through the error404's 'terragen hating' thread in the forums... I don't doubt for a minute that this kind of work takes time, patience and care.. just like any other art, and the results can be spectacular.
Amazing work.. I'll have to check out the landscapes more often.

As always, another great render from the great Stotty. I just hope to be half as good as you one day! Awesome colors, great textures...a beautiful piece. Looks like something you'd see in a fantasy novel, with elves and dwarves and stuff

my only niggle is the angle of the slope on the left... doesn't seem quite right to me... a tad too high...

It is always a great pleasure ti sit and escape into your awesome pieces. A beautiful layout with the perfect contrasts of colors and tone. There is one minor thing bothering me though and it would be perfectly ok for you to tell me to get over it, is the direction of the water waves as compared to the direction of the surf. It seems as if some of the surf is like a floating object being softly moved over the top of the water by a cross wind. Ok, I just told myself to get over it. Great work and a very well done scene!

The top 1/3rd, to me, has more impact than the rest, perhaps it needs a boat or two in there.

The water amongst the terrain is absolutely gorgeous, and the textures are fine, detailed, and realistic when shone upon by the incredibly excellent lighting.

nice picture but sorry i cant go with the wow +faves on this, to me it seems liek this is a river and the water to me seems to flat to produce white wash...lovely textures as always and lovely atmosphere, its just the white wash that takes away from this image for me...sorry stotty

I love the sky in this shot, You've gotten so good at them, I would be interested to see whta you could do with a thunderstorm scene. The scenery is great, again the waters edge could use a little work but it does look better then those in the past. Amazing work like always.
