Oh man. Zuda. I'm not even gonna get myself wrapped up in Zuda as of yet. It goes without saying that I will give you my thoughts based solely on what's presented, and not what these practice illustrations are derived from.
I love your rendition of cats! You've successfully utilized lines and shapes to give form in these simple-looking drawings. Nothing in excess, and you haven't "forgotten" anything. Completely admirable. One of the things that I do like is the fact that you gave the cat such a long neck... It definitely adds a significant humanoid effect. The way you balanced out the light, and dark sections in his fur make it seem as though he's wearing a t-shirt--or is it a turtleneck? Or maybe it's both! It's a nice illusion you've created. And I also love the varied expressions, and the body gestures to coincide. Very nice, solid illustrations!

Thanks I appreciate it, I am glad you like the bit of a humanizing effect of playing with the proportions a bit. The fur is also long because in the story the cat loses it's home and a long haired cat just looks more sad and pathetic when it is stuck in the rain and soaking wet
