I'm sick of people saying Vancouver should be ashamed of themselves, this was not Vancouver as "Vancouver" denotes everyone. These idiots had intentions of rioting regardless of the outcome of the game because most of them had already brought down masks etc. It's a shame that the world will see the riot but not the good hearted people cleaning up days after that are the true essence of Vancouver. I understand that the police did not want to show too much force as it was undoubtedly going to be aired all over the world, however I believe they should have waited for the majority of people to clear out who were simply curious and then just gas the city and push out the looters by any means necessary. It was frustrating to lose in Game 7, but as a true fan I have no problem saying that Boston outplayed us and they deserved it, but it was an absolute disgrace that a select group of people chose to use the loss as an excuse to destroy the most beautiful city in the world.

what i saw of the photos in Chicago was celebration not Riot Police and mayhem. Its true, all you can say is that you didn't have a part of it.

It was more than just a 'bit' dangerous. St. Paul's was full of badly injured people. Not to mention the toxic fumes coming off of those cars engulfed in flames with people dancing and posing around them. Pathetic and shameful.

I didn't say the rioting was fun, don't get so defensive. The rest of the afternoon and night before any of that hooligan shit happened was fun, to me. I don't understand why any of those people felt any need to destroy a city over a freaking hockey game, regardless of whether they won or lost. I was there cleaning up today, trying to correct some dumbasses actions. Seeing all the people cleaning up around me reminded me that our city is full of great people, it was just the actions of a few idiots that decided to show their ultimate stupidity that wrecked businesses and streets.
