...This photo gave me chills. They're faces... So much emotion...
Reading the articles made me want to cry. I don't keep up with international news for that reason... but I probably should. How could a government be so callous, much less to their own people?

I went and read the article. This is not good, I doubt though that it will come to a war with the government by the U.S.

I doubt the U.S. would get too involved. I'm afraid it would take a much smaller country to come to their aid. I don't think it would look too well in the international arena for a superpower to go beating up on a junta in a part of the world dominated by China. The U.S. is trying to normalize relations with China, as best as it can. What some may not realize is that if the U.S. has improved relations with China, it works to the U.S. advantage regarding Taiwan, and North Korea. So If the U.S. marches into Burma, they jeopardize any future improvement in the other 2 situations. SO in fact it becomes a numbers game, if the U.S. marches into Burma, they loose in about 5 other places. Yes it's sad, unfortunately some things cannot be helped by military intervention.

One is left speechless by such words... I believe people who write these kind of things are those either threatened with death continuously or those who have never tasted true poverty or hunger... it is just horrible for even a junta to try to obstruct organisations and activities which will bring the most necessary things in times of need...
Nice composition by the way...
