Canada is currently under a conservative government headed by this man , and these people were calling for Canada's troops to be pulled out of Afghanistan.The statue pulled over was a very good likeness of the Prime Minister, and funnily enough, the guy who made it, used it previously for a GW.Bush statue.
When i asked him about it, he said "I just chopped off george bush's head, and made a harper one." then I asked him what he did with the bush head.. he replied "I kept it in the shed.. I was going to bring it, but when i picked it up, it fell apart and termites came out of it" (he chuckled)
The event was put on by M.A.W.O , which stands for "Mobilization Against War & Occupation"
In the background is Malalai Joya, an Afghan politician who has been called "the bravest woman in Afghanistan." As an elected member of the Parliament from Farah province, she has publicly denounced the presence of what she considers warlords and war criminals in the parliament.

I don't think that Obama is a terrorist, I think that he is a scapegoat... I think that American politicians saw trouble on the horizon ans said "lets get a black guy or a woman in office so that when things go down the shit tube we will have a viable excuse to only elect white male republicans in to office. I don't think that Obama has any real power... and his presidency seems to have aged him considerably.
No matter who USA elects, the agenda remains the same.
Same with Canada unfortunately, Harper may be an ass, but that is just because he is more on board with the corporate agenda, even if he was not on board with it, he would still be bound by this fraudulent system that serves the agenda of the money makers.

I think it is important to note that this current party has little to do with the old Tory or PC party, it is really the Reform party. The PC party was absorbed into this new party driven by Fundamentalist Christian values. It is a scary time for Canada.
