See I personally think this would be an awesome idea. Ducktales remastered with a mega hit. Ducktales 2 was pretty good, and the new reboot of the series seems to be doing awesome too. This would be a nice little bookend things. We'd probably have to wait until they reintroduce Bubba the little caveduck in the reboot show but meh, it would be neat to have both a video game staring the original cast as well as one with new cast. I can totally see it printing money for them.

It would be cool, but it would cause continuity confusion, especially if it's marketed as a sequel due to using the 2017 DuckTales. Plus, Capcom would have to be involved since despite Disney owning DuckTales, they made the game.

Yeah I know. If anything just use the 2017 for them as voice actors but some how I don't see new Mabel Webby playing old Cutie Webby. Maybe just rename it so it's not Ducktales 2 but Ducktale: Legends of McDuck treasure or something. And personally I don't see Capcom having a problem with, they seem to be on good terms with Wayforward. I'm no copyright expert but I would think Disney who owns Ducktales would be the one to have the last say. Case in point Lucas Arts took the StarWars rights from Decipher, Inc who made Star Wars: Customizable Card Game and instead gave it to Wizard's of the Coast so they could make a crappy card game instead. But then again who knows I'm just a Geek, copy right law is *itch and I'd ask a lawyer expert but I rather not draw a pentagram in my basement. XD

That would be a good idea, since the NES version was not a best seller due to the Super NES turning people away.
