Yeah, all three of these meremaids were similar with the idea, of a tragic love story. The differences is that originally Ariel choose to let her love go and kill herself in the end. Others murdered their loves in order to break a curse, they knew & humbly accepted their fate so....yeah. Pro Girl doing the noble thing in the end? I guess?
