It's so cool to actually something that shows me what it could have been like. Β I'll never get it because I'm just the type of person who prefers to appreciate other's tattoos rather than get my own, but I do enjoy daydreaming.

Would look great on a canvas but I don't like it on the skin. Looks great for a while, but when she's old it'll look awful and wrinkled. Also some clothes won't suit her now. And if she ever gets sick of it it's very difficult and expensive to get rid of...not to mention painful.

With all due respect here, it's none of your business what she does to her own body?Β  You don't like it, but she does, and that's all that matters.Β  It's not like she's making you get a tattoo, she's getting one on herself because she wants to.Β  Please don't be so judgmental when it's not hurting anyone for other people to get tattoos.

PrinceOfQueer In reply to notbecca [2013-12-29 17:04:48 +0000 UTC]

Well, comments offer up opinions and I offered up mine. If it's classed as art and she posts it online then enables comments we have every right to comment our opinions, art is subjective and we have different views on it. I stated my opinion, so there you go, done. You stated yours, there you go, done. No need to argue about it sweetie c:

*No, I'm not being sarcastic, genuine.*

Very immature to block before a reply, I am disappointed in you. Even I would be more mature than to do that, and I am less than 18 years of age.

~BeccaDePrisco Β If I state I didn't intend sarcasm, then I didn't intend sarcasm. Emoticons is something I add to nearly all of my comments. Just as how I don't take your "kid" as sarcasm even though you probably intended it as such, it is a fact I am under the age of 18 and therefore I am not legally an adult yet, however this doesn't make any of my opinions less valid.

The concept and art style, and indeed tattoos is an art medium/style, is always up for debate. Whether tattooing is an art form or not, or if it SHOULD be an art form or not, is the point I was trying to make. .3.

And no I do not wish to argue about this with you, I know comments are open but you already stated what you thought and so did I, and I wanted to direct my comment specifically to the artist, and find out why they use tattoos as a form of art considering the risks and downsides involved instead of painting or some other medium. However I am asking them and not you as you are not the artist of this piece.

Oh, that's rich. You blocked me BEFORE I could reply. Wow, butthurt much?

notbecca In reply to PrinceOfQueer [2013-12-29 17:14:09 +0000 UTC]

Saying "sweetie" and putting emoticons is being sarcastic, kid.Β  Your opinion wasn't on the art, the technique of the tattoo, the rendering of the shading or anything remotely artistic, but on the validity of getting a tattoo.Β  My original point that you completely ignored still stands.

that's when you can have fun with it when it's wrinkled. Personally tattoos aren't just about what will happen to them. nearly everyone who gets tattooes realizes it will have the chance of looking bad at an older age. But Tattoos hold more meaning than just an image on skin.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

PrinceOfQueer In reply to Tyrant9 [2013-12-29 17:06:43 +0000 UTC]

I understand they have significance and meaning but just out of curiosity, why not get it painted instead on a wall? It's less painful and will always look amazing and permanent. Also often tattoos are hidden under clothes, this way they'd be on show for all to see the art.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 2

Tyrant9 In reply to PrinceOfQueer [2013-12-29 22:43:20 +0000 UTC]

When getting a tattoo generally people get it for themselves not for others. There is emotional significance most people wouldn't get with certain tattoos. So why bother putting it on a linen canvas or what not if it isn't meant to be viewed by others? Also many people believe that because blood has power when it runs through the tattoo it also empowers them. There are many reasons to get a tattoo. If it doesn't seem appealing to you then it's not appealing to you. But there are a lot of very valid reasons for getting tattoos. I just see people who are against them only look at the negative side effects that could occur.

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

PrinceOfQueer In reply to Tyrant9 [2013-12-29 23:29:01 +0000 UTC]

You've actually given new meaning to the medium for me. The whole thing about blood having power...I like it.

I still would never get one myself though, as I have a phobia of needles, and I think bare skin is more natural and beautiful as nature is art too.

I got a tattoo... you don't even see the "needle"Β  but I understand how you feel. I used to be scared of getting a shot cause it hurt. But then I realized it was merely my memory of the nurses nail digging into my skin that hurt lol. But pure skin is beautiful too! We all have our forms we take on in life yours is of pure skin!

PrinceOfQueer In reply to strangeris [2013-12-30 12:56:14 +0000 UTC]

Another deviant I was talking to gave me a new meaning to tattoos, so I appreciate them more than I used to.

I would still never, ever get one though. I have a phobia of needles. And besides, I do find bare skin just as beautiful, nature is also art. Also I'd be disowned by my parents even if I was an adult and got one |D
