Description It is a good book.
My English teacher asked me to draw something based on Mockingbird so I did. I do like the book, even though Boo and Mayella make me sad as hell.
We're going to watch the film in English class and it's going to be awesome.

The characters are: Dill, Scout and Jem in the circle, and clockwise: Tom Robinson, Calpurnia, Bob Ewell, Arthur 'Boo' Radley, Mayella Ewell and Atticus Finch.
I made Scout and Dill look like representations of young Harper Lee and Truman Capote I'd seen in a comic because the characters are inspired on them.
Oh, Scout, don't expect that marriage to Dill anytime soon ):

S-sorry :c I haven't watched the film yet and when I imagine Boo I think 'guy who hasn't seen the light of day in like twenty years or something' so I didn't imagine he'd look too awesome.

It's a shame my teacher was kinda crap and the kids were unappreciative of literary works, or else I might have enjoyed it more. I should pick it up again sometime.

Yeah I got that with a couple of Portuguese classics this year. Teacher was crap, pupils kept messing about, couldn't appreciate them.
I do reccommend this book though, it's great fun.

Oh yes, absolutely. I also vaguely remember that we watched the movie, and it was pretty accurate to the book. However, I always prefer the text to film, even when the movie is just as good. I just enjoy picturing the scenes in my mind the way I think they should happen.

Atticus...
This is an epic picture. I love it, it's very well drawn.
I think the reason why I liked the novel so much is because the character's were very real.
It shows how ugly these small towns can get, and what is portrayed in the book basically holds true.
Poverty and hard drug use, racism, homophobia, an air of superiority that the higher income makers seem to have... family pedigree... it all exists in the small town that I live outside of.
Contary to popular belief, like this novel shows, small towns aren't as nice and quaint as they might seem.

I think all prejudices and things get intensified in a smaller environment.
Thank you! My English teacher liked it a lot as well, she even put it up on her wall. HONOUR

I'm a fan of the block-type shading [ugh I don't know what else to call it] that has been popping up in your submissions recently.

I have a platonic love for Boo Radley. Aaand a not-so-platonic love for Atticus. Gregory Peck is fabulous in the movie.

I just call it noir style and yes I do love it myself, looks ever so elegant. Especially when done properly. I eventually want to achieve something like this: [link]
LONG WAY TO GO

Boo makes me cry tears of adorableness. I feel so sorry for him ):
I have the same thing for Atticus. Swoon.
