Β brought it to my attention that Rod Taylor (the original voice of Pongo from the 1961 film) died a few days ago, at the age of 85.Iβm not familiar with his live-action roles, but since Pongo is one of my all-time favorite characters, I decided to do a little send up.
R.I.P. Rod Taylor.

It's wonderful that you drew this in his memory
While back I drew genie for robin Williams hugging Aladin with my fave line from the film and I drew for Burgess Meradith who voiced Puff The Magic Dragon for the 60s ( he was the penguin in the live action batman series with Adam west ) so bravo and now rod is flying with golden wings

I really recommend finding The Time Machine, The Birds, and Young Cassidy. Those are his three best movies for sure. He also played Winston Churchill in Inglorious Basterds, his final role. Mr. Taylor was a wonderful actor with a wide variety of roles but to me, his greatest character will always be Pongo.

It happen to him at Eighty-Four, but yesterday would have him be Eighty-Five. =s
As some note too, he is in the Birds and the Time Machine. He also plays Churchill in; Inglorious Dstrds.
It is dark news, as he is a REALLY good performer.
I do wonder if Disney plan to do something on this, or have something on him, on the; "101 Dalmatians" Blu-Ray, that comes this Febuary?
