Description Really simple concept: Redesign iOS

For the past few weeks, I've been experimenting with creating icons for iOS devices using the "Add to Homescreen" feature in Safari. Great news, it works out perfectly.

This series of icons showcase the effort in redesigning the icons of our favorite apps today.

Game Center has a lot of potential, and with an iPad out there, there should be a beefier icon to go along with it. This icon was made from scratch using the same glyphs the real one does. Custom background textures were used to achieve the effects.

Thanks! I love your icons! What image editor(s) do you use? I'm guessing Photoshop. I've done some decent icons in PS, but I'm using Pixelmator now. It's a rough transition, and there's no way to center an object, so I'm thinking of going back to Photoshop.

I use primarily Photoshop and Illustrator. I have also used Adobe Flash to do some vector work as well. I too have used Pixelmator, but I do prefer Photoshop more simply for the Application Window Interface rather than the floating toolbars. I'd like to revisit Pixelmator again soon though.
