Gadzooks, another update? Why yes, YES another update!Austerians with Laurel magic may now grow plant matter!
Hello, Tree Deer! In addition to the Branching Plantlers of the Austerian herd, the Laurel users may now feature a fabulous new foresty mutation. Be it moss, bark, leaves, etc - on their bodies! Plant matter will replace fur , so is most common along the mane or tail or other areas where hair commonly grows lengthier (moss beard, anyone?). And yes, you may replace the entire coat with greenery so that your Austerian is completely foresty! Plants grow upon the body can either grow in their natural color or fit into the color scheme of the body's coat. Remember, this is simply a side effect of their magic... It does NOT count as a starter mutation! Laurels can shift colors if so desired with the passing of the seasons and some, depending on their growths, may shed their greenery completely during the cooler months, only to have it grow in fresh and anew in the spring time.
Well, what about my Earth Magic Austerian?
Don't worry, we haven't forgotten about our Earth benders! To compliment the druid-like appearance of our new Laurel casters, Earth magic Austerians may now possess stone/earthen/gem-like antlers that do not shed... ever! Because of this permanent weapon upon their head, Earth casters are treasured amongst the ranks of the Austerian guard. In addition, Earth users can feature small, rock or gem-like growths upon their body, particularly along the topline and bark in the place of fur! Earth bender Plantlers may still feature plant growth but will feature greenery that can be found growing on rocks, such as lichens, moss, or even succulents if well tended! However, this does mean that if someone should manage to break these incredibly strong horns, the tine will not grow back.
Neat! Poison casters?
Poison casters tend to have magical mutations similar to their Laurel compatriots! However, most Poison casters seem to exclusively feature poisonous plants or fungi upon their bodies. While not poisonous to the caster, these plants may break off of their host and be poisonous to anyone else who comes into contact with them! Luckily, Poison casters with such magical mutations can secrete an antidote to their own unique poisons so aren't usually a threat to the rest of the herd (unless they want to be, that is!).
Okay, awesome! What about Esprit users?
The line of the Queen is the most deer-like strain available in the Auster Wood! Esprit users typically have the most deer-like mutations upon them with minimal greenery. However, to tie them into the exaggerated theme of the tree people, Esprit casters may now feature Laurel/Earth magic mutations upon the individual if so desired. Plant growth on an Esprit user will almost always match the color of the base coat, regardless of the natural color of the plant. Upon Esprit users, these magical mutations may cover up to 50% of the body although there is no certain area that these mutations are limited to. Note that Esprit users will shed their antlers!
AH SO OSIM. But, I already made my Austerian! Can I update him/her?
The answer is YES! You may leave your character as is, if you so desire, but you are more than welcome to update your Austerian to fit into the new cast of our forest dwellers.
Don't forget, Austerians are the only herd to make their homes amongst the super-sized trees of the Auster Wood. Because of their magic forms, these tree houses can be incredibly intricate and ornate, complete with branches grown into 'furniture', rooms, and hallways! The style of the home reflects the personality/family of the individual that occupies it. In fact, trees that have been home to generations worth of a family might still have some nuances that the house's creator designed, regardless of any updates the succeeding inhabitants may have made.

Can magic based poison also feature itself as a poison cloud?
I was thinking to change manes and tail to a cloud of poison (it's for Locke his baby)
Or does it really have to be plant stuff?
