When you make a remake of a drawing the remake is usually not gonna look as good because the original is classic to you and anyway, the first one might look a little better because of the sketchy lines (it creates more detail) and I think the background is a little more fitting. I think your deviantart name on the side looks cooler too. I can tell by looking at the lines that you got better, just keep practicing and you'll see more good differences.
