Description

I'm a judge for Gomis's Digixros Tournament 2! Here's my NPC character, Navid and his partner Jetmon.

Bio:
Not a whole lot is known about Navid, as he likes to keep his past under tight wraps. He is from London, and his father was English, while his mother was from a country in the Middle East. Navid presumably didn’t like his life in the Real World all that much, but he was brought to the Digital World, where he met with his partner Jetmon. The two of them have spent many years in the DW, exploring cracks and crevices in the data that makes up the world. Navid is mentally older than he appears, because of all the time he’s spent in the Digital World. However upon entering the Real World, he’s returned to his original age.
The best word to describe Navid would be “distant.” He’s retreated into himself and he doesn’t express deep or powerful emotions. He is one of those people who see the glass half-empty, and working with him one gets the sense that he doesn’t think his actions really mean much or that he’s really fighting for anything. It’s clear that Navid has very poor interpersonal skills, and he’s not made many connections with other Tamers, Hunters or Generals outside the ones running the tournament. However Navid is remarkably good at connecting with Digimon, and he is able to speak to them on a level that others are not. This has aided him greatly in his hunts and he’s been able to successfully tame a very vicious Digimon, which is one of the reasons he was invited to help oversee the tournament.
Navid is not at all a friendly person. He’s very much a loner and prefers to do things himself. Navid has a silent focus; he’s not one to shout or get excited, but you can see the concentration in his eyes. He isn’t interested in awards or accolades, in prizes or honors. If Navid is holding out for anything at all, it is his partnership and deep friendship with Jetmon.
Extra:
Navid will not get any pop culture references, even if they are really prevalent or memetric. He claims this is due in part to the time he’s spent in the Digital World.
Navid has a moderate British accent. It’s not too pronounced and Navid usually speaks clearly and without a lot of slang.

Jetmon

Jetmon is an unusual Digimon. His body is at once both machine and flesh, integrated perfectly. With him, it’s impossible to see where the metal parts end and the skin appears. Because of this, Jetmon is more efficient than most Metal Empire Digimon, and less prone to mechanical errors or infections. He’s got the personality of a classic fiery protagonist – quick to the punch, excited, exuberant and hopeful, which contrasts with his negative-minded Tamer. Jetmon prefers to act rather than react, and he puts his all into everything he does.
That being said, there’s a hidden layer inside of Jetmon’s Digicore. At times Jetmon can get remorseful and despondent. He’ll get lost in his thoughts and start feeling bad. Jetmon has seen some things in his life that has affected him deeply, and even Navid is not sure what triggers these bad moods. However it’s usually up to Navid to cheer Jetmon up, and remind him of how much Navid hopes and believes in him. These moods don’t come regularly, but once in a blue moon. However when they do arrive, Jetmon might be out of activity for an hour or for a week.
In battle, Jetmon has well-rounded stats. He likes to put his strongest attacks first, rather than pace himself.

Bullet Palms: Jetmon opens his palms and fires a swarm of fire bullets at his opponent
Turbo Charge: Jetmon fires up his engine-tail and charges at the opponent
Extra:
Jetmon is a surprisingly good singer, although he doesn’t like to admit it.

Endeavourmon
Name Origin: the NASA Space Shuttle Endeavour (note: don’t forget the “u”; NASA used the British spelling when naming the space shuttle because it was named after the British HSM Endeavour)

Endeavourmon is Jetmon’s Super Evolution, and fittingly has received a boost in confidence. Endeavourmon’s body is designed to withstand immense pressure from outer space, and his rocket boosters can propel him at incredible mach speeds. He’s most fit to fight aerial battles, but he’s well outfitted to fight on the ground too. Endeavourmon is a little more mature than Jetmon, and he’ll be more open to strategy rather than all out attacks. Still, there isn’t something Endeavourmon enjoys more than landing a finishing move in the first attack. While his body is sturdy, it’s incredibly light weight as well, so Endeavourmon’s main problem is his lack of grace due to bulkiness.
Attacks:
Rocket Boost: Endeavourmon throws his rocket engine power into a powerful punch or kick
Touchdown: Endeavourmon grabs his opponent, flies high into the air, and then slams them on the ground.
Blastoff: Endeavourmon unleashes a blaze of fire from his body. He can also concentrate this attack into a full-body tackle.
Extra:
Endeavourmon doesn't take off his sunglasses. But if he were to, his eyes would look similar to Jetmon's.
