Description
This took far longer than I could've ever expected. So all the updated pics you guys have been seeing were all for a reason. I finally did what I've been wanting to do for a very, very long time. Give Stryke a proper and detailed reference sheet. I've been working on this between comms, breaks, and even while working on comms. Originally I wanted to do these back about 5 years ago but I didn't have the exact amount of confidence or experience to be able to do so.
Along with normal details such as bio, color scheme, a turnaround, as well as small details to his gloves, boots and eyes, Stryke also comes equipped with an upgrades section. What does that mean? Anyone familiar with Sonic Adventure or Sonic Adventure 2? One of the biggest aspects of those games was the upgrade items that gave the characters different abilities, like Sonic's light speed shoes, Tails's medallion, and even Knuckles's shovel claws. Always thought it was fun so Stryke got his own set of upgrades to go with.

Bio:
Stryke is the descendant of an ancient sage who possessed the power of an Elemental that granted him the power of electrokinesis, the ability to manipulate various forms of electricity. This power was passed down throughout various generations for over 5 millennia. However, those generations of ancestors disappeared or were killed throughout the years.
Stryke was born to Spark the Hedgehog and Tara the Porcupine. Spark, an accomplished historian and archaeologist, was the current holder of the Elemental at that time. Instead of following in the family tradition, Spark decided against passing the Elemental to Stryke, thus allowing him to have a normal life. The same would be said about Shard the Porcupine, Stryke’s brother, upon his birth as well. But even with his decision, a normal life was not allowed.
When Stryke was 3, he and his family was attacked by followers of Alvah, a master of manipulating the energies of darkness. The power obsessed lion was intent on finding the Elemental and destroying Spark as an act of revenge for a previous encounter. To spite his mortal foe, Alvah forcibly took the Elemental from Spark’s body and kidnapped Stryke, intending to raise the hedgehog as his own disciple. However, things took a different turn when the Elemental reacted to Stryke, thus causing a chain reaction that caused Alvah’s aircraft to explode, causing Stryke and the Elemental to fall from Alvah’s grasp. With the Elemental gone and Stryke presumed dead, Spark left Tara and Shard, hell bent on destroying Alvah and ridding the world of his evil.
It would turn out that Stryke would be discovered alive by a caring couple that ran an orphanage in a nearby city. They adopt the boy and raise him among the many orphans they took in. It was here Stryke would meet his long time best friends and adopted brothers Burst the Scorpion and Pogo the Kangaroo. During this time, Spark would learn of the location of the Elemental and eventually Stryke’s location. Ashamed of his failures, Spark donated the Elemental to a museum curated by his old friend, Starkworth, and left Stryke where he was, keeping him safe of Alvah’s grasp. Tara and Shard would also move nearby, to which Tara would wait for the right day to see Stryke, while Shard grew embittered and arrogant over time.
Since he was orphaned, Stryke began suffering from a recurring nightmare that has continuously come back to haunt him. The nightmare involves a house fire, a dark figure, a lot of electricity, an explosion and a long fall, and a dark voice saying that it was coming for Stryke and his "power". These nightmares would continue to come back from time to time. By the time Stryke was in his teens, the nightmares occurred on a week to week basis. That is when things began to change.
After waking up from having this nightmare again, Stryke rushes to school after learning he is late. Luckily he makes it on time before he runs into Shard, who has grown up totally oblivious of he and Stryke's relationship and has become a self centered and overconfident young man. He belittles Stryke for his orphan upbringing and attempts to get the hedgehog to fight him before the two are separated thanks to Burst. As school starts, Stryke and Burst learn that they have a new student in their class, a monkey girl moving from a city not too far from here.
Coming home, Stryke, Burst, and Pogo see a family event going on and Stryke becomes infuriated by Shard's comments earlier, causing him to lash out, but at the same time unknowingly unleashing a small electromagnetic pulse, wiping out electrical equipment and lights in the area. This leads to the boys being arrested by a cop in the area and taken to Police HQ, where they are released thanks to the newly instated Lieutenant, Darwin the Monkey, claiming the evidence didn't add up to the boys causing it. After dropping the boys off at the orphanage, Stryke notices the new girl getting into Darwin's car and embracing him, to which Stryke believes the girl is Darwin's daughter.
A few days later, Stryke and Burst are going on a scheduled class field trip (which Pogo secretly sneaks on by sneaking into Burst's backpack). Stryke explains to Burst and Pogo about having the nightmare again and Burst suggests trying to find some help. During the field trip, the gang encounters a very unique, a very old orb. At this point, Shard begins to explain how this orb was his father's and how it had mysterious powers that were passed down from generation to generation. This irritates Stryke who replies, "What powers did it give you?" shutting up his rival who angrily walks away.
Before the Stryke, Burst, and Pogo (who has been found out by now) can walk away, they see the new girl looking very closely at the orb. Stryke and his buddies go and introduce themselves to the girl, who smiles and walks past them. The boys then look closely at the plaque under the orb. They discover that the orb belongs to a professor named Spark the Hedgehog. Stryke recalls hearing about this professor during some of his spare time researching random things. Stryke then says that Spark mysteriously disappeared about 10 years ago and is believed to be dead, which is where he is introduced to Starkworth, who claims that the powers of the orb are indeed true as what Shard spoke of earlier, saying that one day someone will activate them, someone within Spark's family. As he explains, Stryke looks at the orb and begins to feel like it was calling out to him until Burst snaps him out of it.
After school, the boys return home after waiting for Pogo to get out of detention for sneaking into the field trip. On the way, they see the monkey girl again, this time fleeing from a pair of hideous creatures. What she doesn't realize is she is heading for a four way stop and into the path of an oncoming truck. Stryke rushes to save her in the nick of time. The two hide in an alley until the coast is clear and then catch up with Burst and Pogo in the park in front of the museum. However, the creatures intercept them and attack. During the struggle, Stryke learns that the girl has the ability to manipulate water and that the monsters were mainly focused on her. Stryke manages to draw attention away from the girl, until one of the creatures attacks Stryke and Shard "rescues" him. The two are forced back toward the museum, where they both attempt to get to the orb so Shard can use it's power, as Starkworth explained earlier about the orb only working with family bloodlines. Shard is unable to once again make the elemental work and as the creature attacks them both, the orb finds its way into Stryke's hands, causing it to react and bond with Stryke, and in the process awakening the powers that have been dormant inside him. Stryke's new powers quickly turn the tide as he easily manhandles the two creatures and destroys them, leaving a smoldering pile behind.
Burst and Pogo are left in awe seeing their friend filled with this large amount of power. After the battle, Stryke faints and is left unconscious. Wanting to help her new friends, the girl offers Burst and Pogo to bring Stryke to her home. Unknown to the four, and in an unknown location, a mysterious figure makes the order to hunt down the teens.
Back at the girl's home, Stryke regains consciousness and realizes he has his powers through a series of hilarious events. Here, the girl formally introduces herself as Lindsey and allows the boys to meet her family, including her father, Darwin. During their visit, Stryke learns why the creatures were after Lindsey from Lindsey's mother, Samantha. She explains how Lindsey's water powers were used by an ancestor who was among many others who used the powers of the elements to protect the planet via an item known as an Elemental. She then goes on to explain how the ancestor passed down the Elemental from generation to generation. It is because of this Elemental that the creatures have hunted them. She then reveals to Stryke that he now possesses an Elemental and warns him that he is now a target for these creatures.
Later, Stryke contemplates what to do with the Elemental. Pogo excitingly suggests that Stryke should become a superhero, which Stryke likes the idea but thinks it to be cliche. Burst expresses doubt for having the item and suggests giving it back to the museum, but the idea is dropped when the guys realize that no matter what they do, the creatures will try to come and find it. So Stryke decides to hold onto it and tries to hide his powers. He also explains that it may have a link to his nightmares.
Over the next few weeks, Stryke would learn more and more about his powers and would face off with the creatures several times. During this time, Lindsey begins to come around and soon becomes a friend to the boys. Soon, she and Stryke begin to learn more about each other as well as helping each other with their powers, becoming very close friends.
Over time, a series of events continue to unfold as Stryke and his friends continue to thwart off many of the creatures. Eventually, the attacks become more sporatic and even far more dangerous until finally, another attack ends with Lindsey and her mother being captured by a mysterious being who called himself Alvah. Alvah revealed that he was not only the leader of the creatures, but also the holder of the Elemental of Darkness. The Lion taunted Stryke, wishing for him to try and save the mother and daughter. Stryke, Burst, Pogo, and Shard would give chase after Alvah, eventually following him back to a secret location, to which they discover his true motives; to acquire the Elementals, raise an army of minions from his cult of followers, and drown the world in darkness as a means to "Purify" it.
Before Stryke could face Alvah, tensions boiled as an embittered Shard sought to defeat his brother in an act of vengeance for taking what he thought was his. Years of anguish and frustrations over believing he was the only son and rightful owner of their father's elemental, as well as the shame of watching someone who he labeled lower than him, being the one who stole his destiny, erupted into a fit of rage as the two brothers fought. Stryke eventually was forced to use his powers to quell Shard's lust for vengeance, venting his rage at Shard for his brash tactics and for his constant berating of the young hedgehog's shortcomings. Shard turned to his brother and shamelessly wished him good luck in his fight against Alvah, but also denouncing his brother, to which the hedgehog and his friends left him behind as they prepared for the inevitable. The Battle against Alvah was fierce, as the Lion easy overpowered all of them. Alvah gawked to Stryke how Stryke's father couldn't stop him, and how the hedgehog was nowhere near as powerful as Spark. During the fight, Stryke began to hear a faint voice from his elemental, that would guide him in unlocking his power to defeat Alvah. At the same time, Shard appeared to reluctantly help Stryke to push Alvah back, but before the two brothers could deal the finishing blow, Alvah activated a self destruct sequence that would destroy his secret base via a large reactor, giving the fiend a means to escape. Seeing as the reactor is using an electrical current, Stryke stays behind to contain the electricity before it can cause the explosion, allowing his friends to escape. Unfortunately, Stryke is unable to escape and is presumed to be dead and the Elemental is presumed lost. Some time later, it is revealed that Stryke escaped thanks to an escape pod but was jettisoned to a deserted island deep in the Pacific. He falls from the pod into a nearby river that takes him up stream into a nearby cave. The hedgehog awakens unsure of where he is, clothes tattered and ruined, and now sporting a scar across his eye. Stryke finds a way out of the cave but soon learns the island is inhabited by several species of dinosaurs.
Soon he is ambushed by a pack of vicious Velociraptors and other carnivores, lead by Ta'lon and Ta'sin, his dilophosaurus lover. The pack easily overpowers the Hedgehog and Stryke is poisoned by Ta'sin. Before Stryke can be killed, a large beast appears and takes one the pack singlehandedly. Stryke manages to recover and helps the giant fend off the pack and sends Ta'lon scurrying after shocking him. With the pack gone, Stryke is left alone to face this mysterious creature that attacked the pack. The creature reveals himself as Tecton the Triceratops, crown prince of a tribe of dinosaurs known as the Cretaceans. Stryke is soon introduced to Tecton's royal squadron and learns that the dinosaurs despise anyone from the outside world. Before Stryke could say anything, he passes out due to fatigue and the poison in his veins. Despite the dinosaurs' beliefs, Tecton however takes pity on Stryke for his aid in helping him earlier and brings him to the Cretacean village. There Stryke successfully recovers from his injuries and is introduced to Tecton's father, King Nublar. Nublar tells Stryke of the Cretaceans, how they survived extinction and how they evolved beyond the ancient giants of the past. He warns Stryke about the risk he is in by being in the village, but allows Stryke to stay for a few nights until his injuries were fully healed.
What nobody knew was Stryke was troubled. Despite being thankful to be alive, he felt like a failure for not being able to stop Alvah. To make matters worse, he was alone in a lost world and didn’t have his friends to help him.Over the next few nights, Stryke began to ponder his destiny and began to feel like he didn't want to have his powers anymore. He began to wonder:
"What am I doing? Why do I have to do this? It’s because of this stupid power that I don’t have a normal life. They left me alone for all those years and now they expect me to be the one to take care of their problems? They don’t care! My bro…Shard doesn’t care! Screw this! I’m done being their hero!"
The expectation of carrying his family legacy, save the world, failing to stop Alvah, and His argument with Shard denouncing him didn't help this cause. His emotions became mixed and twisted until finally, he couldn't take it any longer. Stryke grasped his chest and pulled the Elemental from his body and lunged it into the jungle from atop King Nublar's palace. Stryke decided to move on and not look back.
Unknown to Stryke; the king had been watching his movements and sent a squad to retrieve the Elemental. Nublar reveals to Tecton that upon what Tecton told him about Stryke's powers, he concludes it coincides with a legend he heard as a child. Nublar orders the Elemental stored away, until the time is right.
The next morning, Stryke leaves the village without letting anyone know. Before he can get far, he sees a young hadrosaur being swept down river and headed for a waterfall. Stryke immediately saves the child and takes her back to the village. On the way back, Stryke is ambushed by Ta'lon and Ta'sin again, who takes the child and flees. Stryke pursues them and follows them into the darkest reaches of the forest. Inside, he frees the girl and they both escape. Ta'lon retaliates and attacks Stryke. Stryke tells the hadrosaur to run and the hedgehog and the velociraptor both duke it out in a brawl. Despite being outmatched in fighting styles, Stryke manages to get the upper hand on the savage carnivore when a lightning storm interrupts their fight, causing a tree to fall onto Ta'lon, pinning him to the ground. Stryke tries to run but sees the wounded Velociraptor and returns to help him. Stryke frees Ta'lon as both Tecton's squadron and Ta'lon's pack appear. Shockingly, Ta'lon calls for his pack to stand down and the pack retreats. The velociraptor looks back at Stryke and nods as a sign of thanks and runs away. The royal squadron takes Stryke and the girl back to the village.
Back at the village, the villagers celebrate and treat Stryke like a hero, despite Stryke's protest not to. After the celebration, King Nublar and Tecton offer Stryke a chance to stay as a royal guest to the royal family. Stryke accepts the King’s offer and reveals to both him and Tecton that he had no where to go and really had no purpose. Seeing an opportunity to help, Tecton offers to train Stryke after seeing his efforts against Ta’lon, teaching him in the ways of hand to hand combat.
To be continued...
I'll come back and do some more details later on, such as his special abilities and items. Till then, enjoy!

That’s not exactly how it works. The suit itself is an antivirus program. It protects the wearer. It doesn’t turn the wearer into a virus.
