It's too large, and not often something that people would want to use in conversation, I think. If I was to do that, I'd probably do a revamp first.

I'm not incredibly familiar with photoshop. Have you looked up tutorials? The only way I can guarantee you'll get better is with practice. You should also check out #pixelacademy , and #Emotication

It takes practice. Try going by actual physics. Play with some bouncy balls, or hacky sacks, or something, depending on how fluid you want the movement. You'll get it, and remember that a little goes a long way.
