Description
I was walking through this field at 6am this morning, when these birds flew by me... I watched in awe as they flew right by me.. it was only a hasty "oops" and I raised my camera and took a shot without looking.. luckily I had my lens on manual focus, and the focus was at infinity, so it all worked out . I am very happy about this shot!Please have a look at some of my photography in my gallery [link]

Certainly it is silent. Such is the nature of deep, misty days. It may have been a quick shot, but you were in the right place at the right time, and you had the eye to see the beauty of the mist. This is a beatufil shot. I'm not at all surprised it caught the eye of the DD reviewer.

i think maybe your description of what took place in the shot is more than suzi9mm could have said about the photo for viewers...at least that's my guess. sometimes people get DD's to expose them and thier gallery, not nessecarily for the one photo itself...

isn't it funny how sometimes the art that took us the least thought and time seem to be the ones that browsers love the most? This is so great thought, the way the fenceline on the right leads the eye right up to the birds and on the opposite side the bushes are doing the same thing... it's almost like you camped out a spot and waited for the birds to just appear lol, which I know you didn't and wouldn't have known they were coming anyways. congrats on ddness

this is utterly beautiful. it's a minimalism and muted beauty that I am very partial to, both in poetry and in art, and to see something like this as a photograph is quite stunning. for ana ccidental shot, this is a masterpiece; such composition and minimal contrasts! jesus this really blew me away.

I really like how quiet this shot is - its simplicity lends to its beauty. The fact that it was, in theory, an "accidental" shot makes it all the more wonderful in my humble opinion. Out of everything, I think I like the fence the most - the way it sort of hobbles gamely on into the mist.

Well, I guess the suggestor liked this one more, or something, but even though this is indeed a lovely deviation, you're other three are much better, they are amazing, frigging amazing, I cant stand the amazingness, I'm sorry, I'm going to orgasm soon.
I guess you're other three already have heaps of favourites.
This photo is nice though, only really because of the mist, sorry, but it doesn't have enough feeling in it, nice work all the same.
