Description
Two fighters duke it out to see which would be selected to be the next generation fighter in the United Earth Forces.The candidates are the YF-4 Lightning (fighter, left) and the VF-X-6 Genia (smaller fighter, right). Who would win this battle?!?!

As for the fighters, the VF-4 will be the mainstay in Macross, while the VF-6 Genia/Alpha wins in Robotech. I prefer the Lightning myself...

Oh yeah. The "Genia" is a good concept, and I wish it was explored a lot more extensively... I did try to animate the Lightning in one of my fanfilms...

This piece has limited and muted pallet and yet it still seems vibrant. Its background is somewhat under-stated, which is good because the fighters appear to rocket out of the piece. The detail on the fighters is not excessive but very appealing. And the Shapes of the fighters break up the negitive space.

I really like this pic! Drawing planes was something I had never really taken a crack at doing. But you draw them very well. I like the sense of motion from this piece. Very nice work!

Hey, could you tell me your technique in making good lineart? I could use some help in this department... Mines always look pencilled... How do I make it like yours? Clean, crisp? Is it Flash?

I always retrace my penciled drawings with black ink. When I finish inking I erase all the pencil marks. It's good to use permanent ink because they don't smear when you erase.

i tried using a sign pen, and that really sucked. Blank ink? Hmm... Could be worth a shot... maybe in the future...
