There is a softness present due to muted colour and brush intensity, this goes well with the decorative elements and line work.
Unfortunately, I think the border severely detracts. It gives the image extra ''weight'', so to speak.
Nonetheless, an interesting and well-done exploration of style. I look forward to more in the future.

Thanks a lot, glad you like it . Ah, I just found that the border works better depending on the background colour of the website...or not? Maybe I'm wrong haha.

I really enjoy how some parts look drawn and clean, but then there's some painted parts that give it a nice soft feeling as well. The choice of colors are really lively, but very calm and soothing :] Very nice indeed!

Thanks a lot! Glad you noticed the mix of line / paint. That was exactly the idea...a bit of experimentation on my end. It's a take on some older pieces (apparently more successful if one were to judge by hits/favs lol) I had done in the past. Keep changing the way I work, so I thought I'd revisit decorative illustration.
