Here's my artist wrapped, template by sabattons on Twitter. I really liked the format of this one, really narrowed down focus and is a good look at what I worked on throughout the year! Choosing a favorite piece was actually really hard. I have like 5 that I'm super proud of, including the one on the right for "piece where you tried something new", so choosing between those ones took longer than expected. Even now though, looking back on them, I'm more proud of newer pieces or the process of the pieces, rather than the finished ones. I've still got a lot to learn, and something about how flat all the pieces feel was a big factor in the choosing difficulty. It's something I'd like to improve through my fundamentals goal (really liked that little goal section!). The flatness of my pieces has always been a personal point of contention in my art journey. Shadows never looked connected, depth was always artificial, and the background was disconnected from the subject. I think a major part of it is the lack of fundamentals work, and if that's not it, I'm hoping more knowledge will show me exactly why it feels off. Anyway, here's to the New Year!!
