Maetun

Orbital Distance: 0.017 HSDU            Atmosphere Pressure: 0.67 Asp
Orbital Period: 17.52 h                      Average Surface Temp: 1,800 °C
Radius: 4,277 km                             Surface Gravity: 1.56 g
Day Length: 17.52 h                         Mass: 0.579 Edm

Satellites: None

Notes: Maetun is called "The Boiling Planet" because the temperatures on the sunward side of this tidally locked planet reach more than 2,800 Celsius, boiling away earth and stone. These gases are then carried away by wind from the hottest point to the zone where temperatures are cool enough for the gaseous mixture to recondense, leading to the unusual weather phenomenon of rains of rocks.

Last data: Gebreza-Entinov probe in 17/5036 (burned in the atmosphere)

Mass: 0.004 Edm
Satellites: None

Notes: Vaghi is called "Blue Bomb", its atmosphere is so heavy and so full of methane, hydrogen and other gases that one match could blow up the planet. In addition, its core is a mixture of radioactive elements such as uranium and other elements not identified that cause the failure of any electronic device. No probes has come close enough to examine it without crashing.
Moreover, its orbit is very erratic and unpredictable, due to some change in its structure, forecasts say that in a few billion years Vaghi could crash into Fars, causing an explosion visible up to Edenheime.

Average Surface Temp: 60-90 °C
Surface Gravity: 1.1 g
Mass: 0.126 Edm
Satellites: None

Notes: Efra is considered the most dangerous planet where to send a probe, the high temperature is due to an atmosphere full of sulfuric acid mixed with methane and carbon dioxide. Acid rain that falls melts the surface composed by silicates and tim which create a metal swamp. In addition, the atmosphere retains heat making the sunny side extremely hot causing violent tornadoes, some so large that they are visible from space.

Is the probes still Canon? Can Virojog be an early pioneer in space travel?

Tecnologies on probes is very advanced, and they can already send people on the moons, but for travel people to other planet, the tecnology isn't adequate so no: people space travel still a dream.

But Virojog could be a tecnological pioneer for probes.

So- it's possible that with enough fuel, the people of Edenheime could capture an asteroid passing by their planet, like the ARM mission planned by NASA?

Uh, why not?I haven't planned much deeply the space interactions. If your nation can do so, Virojog will probably be the most advanced nation about space missions. It could be cool, but then watch out to Odussia's sabotages

Wow that´s so cool, I read the whole description I always loved the universe and planet,
and this self created ones are amazing. So is it really possible that rocks are melt to gas
and rocks rain on the colder side down? XD

Sturm94 In reply to Arminius1871 [2014-09-18 14:52:49 +0000 UTC]

Well, first the rocks become liquid, but the high temperature boiling the liquid in few second, so yeah.

I NEVER study astronomy, it's possible this text is full of b******ts...  So don't take it so seriously.
You can take me as a huge fan of fantacientific series like Star Wars, Mass Effect and go on...

That´s no problem, but it´s awesome I read a german science-fiction book and alternate history book,
there Germany won the first world war, united with half of Italy and a huge part of East Europe,
and the two best elite soldiers are the German Hans Rohwedder and the Italian Pio Filipani-Ronconi^^
They can colonize some planets and moons of the gas planets with alien technology later,
when the 2. world war is over.

In one section, Pio is saying, he accepts Germany as the heir of Rome and he is proud to fight for this
european multi-ethnic Reich, which is the most developed in the world.

Funny is the part, where the german Kaiser says (Germany has nuclear weapons, USA starts to create some):
The civilized nations of Europe will never allow, that terrorist nations such as America or the Sowjetunion can
get this weapons XD
It´s exactly what America always says about Iran lol^^ But it´s just fun, the USA is ok of course. The Sowjets not.
