dreams are like bubbles. you open your eyes and as soon as your consciousness slips back into your body, they disappear. like a bursted bubble, you still feel the soapy particles float in your head, weighing you down or lifting you up. but the memory of that dream is gone, never to be seen again. sometimes little bits and pieces are what's left and you continue clinging onto them as if you'd lose touch with your body as soon as you let go of your dream, letting go of the memories that make it worthwhile on this planet full of hate and disgust. hate and disgust towards themselves, other people or creatures. hate towards everything. but that doesn't exist in your dreams. because your dreams are what makes you happy, it's what disconnects you from this cruel world, living peacefully in your little bubble of happiness until it pops again, leaving the shiny particles as residue in your head again. This process repeats every night, until your last breath is drawn. Insanity slowly creeps up your body when you discover that with every day you're left with less of that sparkly residue in your head.
you're forgetting. forgetting yourself, what makes you happy. because even the precious soapy residue in your head will slowly dry up.
you're left as a hollow shell, working to live and living to work.
