Description
One of the other 10-minute sketches of the male nude model that came into class today.

I have a super difficult time with shoulders and the transition between the actual arm/socket and the torso, so I tried to pay attention to the cast shadows beneath the muscles here. The lights came from directly above this time, which made for some decent shadows.

On an unrelated note, the guy had great hair. It was curly, dark, and sort of springy. I wish I had hair like that.

Beginning Life Drawing is beginning to get more and more engaging. Using the side of conte-crayons allows me to darken the background, so I get some good contrast.
