Description character design i'm coming up with for character modeling class. character was supposed to be simple and cartoonish, but i got carried away on the scene and the chain.

i am slowly working on painting over the illustrator cartoon image to make it more realistic. but i have to work on modeling the character in maya now, so that will take most of my time.

by the way, that chain took for flipping ever. i created the individual links in illustrator, including the spiked links at the ends, and then copied, pasted (option drag with the selection tool on a mac), sized, rotated, and placed––over and over and over. but it turned out nice, especially with the motion blur.

I actually like the contrast of detail in the chain and character. The red makes him stand out

Nice perspective with the weapon!! maybe the background is a little too dark, it would be cool to see the weapon better

wow, huh? i did use the warcraft 3 nagas as visuals when designing this guy.

eventually i'll get around to finishing it, and then the character will match the scene.
