WB renders DWM itself rather than have DWM do as its told. So yeah it works in WB but UXTheme not at all.

Sorry for the late response but no. Composition in the start menu is broken in 7.

Ok, I got it:
Start > StartMenu > Panels > Basic > MoreProgramsTab
And add transparency (and modify image).

also: must be changed as semitransparent images the :
1. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > MorePrograms
2. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > Proglist
3. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > NSCHost
4. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > Openbox
5. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > SearchView
6. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > TopMatch
and also the image on basic:
1. Start > StartMenu > Panels > Basic > MoreProgramsTab as the Normal and the DISABLED position of it must be empty [no image pixels to those 2 positions]
-----
Also u can do this:
1. Start > StartMenu > Menu > Aero > KeyboardTreeView deselect compositedOpaque : Bool and add Propertie [via adding Properties] Bool : Composited and select it .
2. Start > StartMenu > Menu > Aero > HoverTreeView deselect compositedOpaque : Bool and add Propertie [via adding Properties] Bool : Composited and select it .

You can also add a MoreProgramsTab for Aero by add the following properties to Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > MoreProgramsTab
IMAGECOUNT:INT
IMAGEFILE:FILENAME
SIZINGMARGINS:MARGINS
CONTENTMARGINS:MARGINS
BGTYPE:ENUM (Set to Image)
IMAGELAYOUT:ENUM

1. question please on Start > StartMenu > Panels > Aero > Top > MoreProgramsTab
the BGTYPE:ENUM (Set to Image)what kind of image [what number] we set to MoreProgramsTab ? r we can add a new one?
[adding new resource or what?
------------------
2.something different
on proglist left side menu the mouse over color [on aero and basic, and on basic's mstyle places list menu] takes its shape from Explorer and Shell > Explorer > list item > Hotselected (image 134) .
is it possible via a stylehack or whatevr to have independent mouse over [+we can add a new resource image in the mstyle] only for the menu? ]
thanks in advance!

1.)
Add a new one by Add Property -> Filename -> Imagefile.
2.)
In Start > StartMenu > Menus > Aero/Basic > ListView > ListItem you should be able to add new properties (Imagefile Image, Margin [Content and Sizing], bgenum Enum [set to image], and sizingtype Enum. It should override then.
