This would have made a really great stock photo. The metal on top has a gorgeous blue hue with beautiful subtle textures. The scratch in the middle of the photo is a nice accent, setting off the surface. The side shows the highly sought after "grunge" effect with some nice rust in an orange shade that compliments the overall blue colours. I also really like the depth of field since that will be popular with artists who like a more subtle approach to texturing. Never before captured female fly strapping a male of the same species...how did you find these two adventurous deviants? I wonder what the world is coming to. A couple of years ago I actually captured a female grasshopper doing the same thing to her male counterpart. (See Heating Up the Bricks - [link] ) You may wonder how I know the females are on top. I guess I just have a feel for such things..., Geesh! Still got 23 words to go. I'm dieing here. Someone pull the pug ... er, plug... uhm. Hmmm. Well, getting close. So. How is the weather? Done.

Well here we have a typical male on male scenario. I believe the photo is technically good, the composition is nice, the colors are different, and the focus is spot on. However, when you work with models, you have to express your vision of the photo to them, so that they can help you achieve that. I don't see a lot of emotion coming from either of them. Maybe you were trying to convey that they were just screwing for the sake of screwing or for the survival of their species and that would explain why one of your models is covering the eyes of the other, as well as your title.
But ultimately, I just think there was a lack of communication between you and your subjects. Perhaps next time, you can ask your models to try some other positions, experiment with some sort of wardrobe, or convey some emotion on their faces, because as it stands this belongs in a Sex Ed book, not an art gallery.

I hate to say it...this had me laughing hard enough that I shared it with others that have a sick sense of humor! Although we laughed and enjoyed it... absolutely no comments come to mind! A sad state of mind! LOL, however, I love that you can see their eyes and the fact that the top flies front legs are over the others eyes as if being dominent!!! Who knew that flies were so passionate! The details are amazing from the vivid colors to the fact that you can see the fuzzy details of the flies bodies.
I know that this really wasn't funny but I really did enjoy the photo and continue to enjoy your work.

This to me, is the pinicle of what is known in the sickbastΓ‘rd community as Uberawesomesickbadassporn. The way both flies appear to have their mouths open in sheer extacy, is to me encapsulating the pure joy expirenced by these two beautiful specimens.
One can almost imadgine that the scrape in the paint by the lovers' right side, was caused by one of their feet as they struggled to hold on despite the utter and complete sensations that are expirienced during such a magnificent act.
I appreciate the fact that the two are au naturel, having remained unshaven. So many in your field feel that a shaven fly seems more sexy and clean and fun, but I am of the persuasion that god intended us to have hair where we do, and to remove it is to remove part of the reality, to your credit you have caught the reality perfectly, and i can almost feel myself thrusting that little aphrodite, who must barely have emerged from her final stage of pupation hours before.
The position, "drosophilla style" is perhaps a little clichΓ©, but i feel it works, and the two models here are clearly enjoying themselves to the upmost possibility. It is as if they have forgotten that you are there at all, and that is what makes this peice, to me, one of the most erotic, and stimulating photos that I have seen this year.
