I've had a few people ask me how to credit in their signatures, as well as finding people who have used my icons and having to ask them myself to credit me in their signatures, and I decided that it would be a good idea to create this so I can link people to it without having to explain it over and over. ^^ Some people are also shy to ask what they might think is a silly question, but with this, they can just save or fave it and look at it any time they need. :3

If we are using an avatar as an icon on our main page instead of using it as the avatar, can we hyperlink it to the original artist instead?

Because the :icon stuff does not work on the signatures. You should change the :icon into :dev to let it work.

for some reason it won't let me put it in my signature :/

Question... I have a signature set to show, but I cannot see it... On this account of mine, at least. On my other account, ~BeefJerky-x-Cookie , I can. I can not even see other people's signatures here.

And under "Comments", make sure that the "Show Signatures" box is checked.

Oh, to use as your icon? You have to save it to your computer, go to your profile, click on your avatar (even if it's a blank one), and upload it from there.

I was kind of worried that people would think it was stupid to upload such a tutorial. XD But enough people have asked me that I think it's reasonable. But I still feel silly uploading tutorials for things like this or how to give a llama badge... but if people ask, I guess... /trails off
