Description
Obviously, the reference for this was the poster of the J man leaning over and staring directly at the camera. I decided to go full pelt with the acrylic with this one.It is a HUGE canvas so it took a bit of time.

For lack of a more jokerish word it's beautiful.
I've seen paintings of characters that display their character but the streaks of paint across the canvas shows a whole other side of his character, that he's out to get anyone and has no real reason why... kinda chaotic-like but with a sense of fragility because as we all know we do something wrong around the joker and he snaps like a twig. The blend of colours is fantastic, he's a clown (duh) so the bright colours suit, but his character and facial expression makes the piece kinda like 'I'm gonna kill you but I don't know exactly when or how' all the while he's smiling. The splattered red of his lips and the yellow in his hair, the colours are mesremising. This is truly a beautiful piece of art, you make users like me (the one's with no talent... or just me) unworthy to be using this site.

I love the way how the colours seem sort of random at first (for instance, the streaks of yellow below his chin and the red streak on his back), but come perfectly together by forming a perfect portrait of Mr. J. Really wonderful piece.
