Ahahahaaaa!!!
This is a still of the Joker threatening Rachel in the upcoming movie The Dark Knight. Painted from an image I found somewhere on'tinternet.
I have to say, I wasn't hugely impressed with the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker in the beginning, but frankly he's grown on me and now I can't wait to see what he does with the character. I reckon he'll do a cracking job.

He is master manipulator in this movie. The way he works everyone around him really highlighted his genius quality.

By the way, I had doubts about Heath too lol Mostly because I had finished watching Brokeback Mountain right before I found out he was cast as the Joker... Slightly awkward, no? haha

I saw Brokeback some time after I learned he was the Joker, but Heath's acting in that wowed me. As the Joker, he's just incredible!

Yeah, he was an amazing actor and it just wowed me that they'd choose him- my doubts were in the looks, but in the end he was perfect lol
I was totally blown away with him as the Joker... I may have even cried when it ended [probably did] or maybe when the "in honor of" thing popped up... From an amazing job and the fact that he would never get a chance to do another one just like it T^T

Cheers. It's why I love working on canvas. The bumps and ridges on the material give it a more tactile quality, I think. Takes up a lot of space though

I, as well, did not agree with the casting, I remember this scene and you have perfectly captured it, especially the terror in Rachel's eyes!

As it turns out, Nolan knew that Ledger could deliver and now I completely agree with him. The scene was so intense, Rachel didn't know what to do with herself.

This is done very well and I see from the comments that you did get to see the film. Heath did such a great job and I can't wait for them to release a director's cut (I have a feeling they cut some of his stuff out for the PG13 rating). I like how you really captured the characters

I'm really looking forward to the DVD, see what additions there are. I've been hearing from others that Nolan might have filmed enough of Heath for the Joker to appear in the next film. No idea how true that is though...might just be unfounded rumour.

You're welcome. I just hope that ppl give Dark Knight and Ledger a chance as the Joker. It is good to try broadening your horizons and trying different things. Unfortunately he never will again, but I don't think he only wanted to be remembered in romantic comedies or as my husband calls them, 'chick flicks'.
