Ahahahaaaa!!!
This is a still of the Joker threatening Rachel in the upcoming movie The Dark Knight. Painted from an image I found somewhere on'tinternet.
I have to say, I wasn't hugely impressed with the casting of Heath Ledger as the Joker in the beginning, but frankly he's grown on me and now I can't wait to see what he does with the character. I reckon he'll do a cracking job.
All rights Warner Bros etc...

As for casting i felt the same way at first, then i saw the trailer and thought woah this guy can actually pull it off and now im so excited i cant wait to see the movie.

It didn't take me long to become a convert to the Heath casting. The trailer truly was the icing on the cake. He really gives good Joker
I think by the time the movie comes around I'll be a quivering wreck of anticipation.

Exactly! I was kinda weirded out that Heath Ledger (RIP dear man) would be playing the Joker but as soon as i saw him in the trailer it was like

At first I though it was a strgange casting decision but then I watched the trailer; his joker laugh sends chills down my spine

I think many people thought it was an odd casting, myself included, but that is but a distant memory now. His voice is perfect and his look is incredible. I am looking forward to being blown away by his creation.

I do lots of blending with my acrylics (basically, I use my finger to rub the paint between tones) I also use a dry brush a lot. Other than that, I work every day with it
Ooh, I have a tutorial on another one of my Joker pics, which currently resides in scraps that shows you the haphazard way I work

This is fantastic! I must say, I was the same way when I heard that Heath was doing the Joker. However, he won me over a little bit when I heard his laugh...Here's hoping that he does a good job!

Great job! I also couldn't fathom Heath as the Joker when that first was announced but after seeing the trailer I became a believer. I'm still not sure about Maggie G. though...Nice job though, you captured the expressions really nicely.

I was unsure about him until seeing a few stills and especially the Empire cover, which he looked great in. The trailer, really just confirmed that he was a great choice. I prefer Maggie over Katie Holmes, I'll be honest with you - I just didn't think she was believable as Rachel and frankly, she has an annoying tendency to speak out of the side of her mouth. Maybe I'm just picky

Yikes...I'm so shocked about him right now...it's such a horrible thought to think that maybe in some way the character and filming influenced what happened to him...
As for Rachel, I agree about Katie Holmes, but it just always seems weird to switch actors (er, well, I guess they've switched Batman a couple of times, now that I think of it
