Hey, one question. My mouse disappears when I use it, but when I change them back to the normal ones, it works fine. Any idea why?Β

How do you mean 'disappears'? And in what instance of using it?

Well, when I go to my control panel and change the default cursor to these, they're fine for a bit, but then it shortly disappears. I can only tell where my mouse is when it highlights something.

That is quite odd. THis is the first time I have heard of such a thing happening.
Researching into it, this might have something to do with the visibility options of your cursor, but I doubt it. Other help threads that I have seen suggest downloading the most recent software for your brand of mouse, as well.Β
As far as a solution for disappearances specifically related to custom cursors, the only solution that the professionals are suggesting is to refrain from using custom cursors at all. (That doesn't strike me as a true solution, though. It's like telling someone with a broken foot to crawl because that'll be easier...)

It looks like other Wondows 8 users are experiencing similar problems. There is some discussion and a few methods of troubleshooting outlined in this thread on Microsoft's help forums. Maybe something in here will help.

I do hope the best for you! Ideally, this problem won't persist for too long. In the mean time, I'll keep poking around to see if I can find a concise solution. (I don't know that I will though- I doubt that Microsoft is really going to put in the effort towards a real resolution.)

If you haven't already downloaded it, you're going to need to do that, and make sure you where you have saved the file. Extract the contents and then follow the FAQ link in my sig. This link will walk you through the process of setting up your custom cursor set.

I don't know if I can resolve the error that is occurring, however it might be the .zip format that your computer doesn't trust (you had said something about security settings in another message). If you are comfortable with it, send me your E-mail address in a note and I can attach the cursor set(s) piece-by-piece, independent of the .zip, and send them to you that way.
