Personality: Adam's a sweetheart who's fiercely protective of everyone on his side (especially Saul). He sticks to the rules more so than the other rebels, and avoids a lot of trouble by doing that. He and Saul end up in some weird relationship that may or may not be romantic by the end of the book.

History: Okay really Adam's just there he doesn't have much of a history, he's kind of like Elizabeth. They were just people in the community that Saul came across and recruited.

misc: He's kind of clumsy when he fights, he's always got various scratches and cuts all over his body, bandages and stuff everywhere

"I'm human."

"September 2nd. In this city!"

"I'm 18."

7. Okay, now...are you a good guy, or a bad guy?
"I think I'm a good guy. Unless you support the government, in which case I'm a bad guy."

"I try to be kind to everyone."

9. Would you say you're someone who can handle pressure?
"I try!"

10. Do you like to read?
"I never learned how to read very well, because the citizens aren't allowed. Saul taught himself, so now he's trying to teach me, but I'm not doing very well. But I get to spend time with Saul, so I guess that's okay!"

"Green is nice. There's not much green here."

12. Do you get along with others?
"I try to!"

13. Do you have any enemies?
"Yeah, the government kills rebels."

"Yep! Saul, Gabriel, Elizabeth and Abigail!"

"I try to be!"

"A kitten! They're so sweet!"

"Oh-- the government wouldn't do that."

"It's probably Saul. He gets stressed easily and flips out."

"I'd be better at fighting."

"The city? Or my house? It's actually kind of a shack, because rebels aren't allowed to be part of society or they're turned in. But I live with Gabriel, Elizabeth and Abigail, so it's fine! I don't know where Saul goes every night, but he always returns with food, so I won't complain!"

"I don't know, we're not allowed to meet our parents. We are raised by a guardian, who's only job is to raise children until they turn 18. Seeing as her job was to do everything I wanted, as long as it was within the city laws, of course, she was fine!"

22. Do you have any siblings?
"I don't know, probably. We're not allowed to meet them though. Basically, we have people who are designated 'breeders' who keep the population strong. Their children are given to Guardians, who raise the children until their 18, and are old enough not to question the law."

23. What's your occupation?
"I'm a rebel! I don't have a job."

24. I see, that's a good job to have. Do you like it?
"Well, I don't have to listen to the government. I don't like it, though, because now I know just how corrupt the government is. Ignorance is bliss, or something like that."

25. Are you seeing/dating anyone?
"I wish..."

26. Thinking about getting engaged, married, other?
"That would be nice!"

27. Tell us your biggest secret.
"I-- um. I love Saul?"

"Loosing everyone and being alone again..."

"Whatever I can find!"

"The only thing we really have is water. If it's clean, I like it more, obviously!"

"We're fighting against the government. We're going to make a better society."

"Ah-- I tripped over my own feet in a fight before, and fell off a bridge. Saul had to save me. That was embarrassing."
