Well, the screw in bulbs look way better than the bayonet ones for the globe. And the plants...well make sure you have enough dirt and the plant isn't a fast growing one. I put one that grew to fast in another globe and well...it's a bit ugly.

Post pics if/when you make one, cause i'd love to see!

Heh, thanks. It's moss and a fern, but the little curly one to the left i have no idea. I think you're right, that one probably is a weed! But a good weed, it has tiny white flowers.

Well, i took a blown light bulb and yanked off the black bit at the bottom with pliers. Then with a screwdriver i knocked out the middle bit. All while wrapped in a towel, glass shards are nasty.

OOh... like verbena or something! Did you drill a hole in the end of the metal neck, or score the glass around the base to get it off? I know you have to have some way to get water in to it...

Thanks! Well, I put them in there when they were really small. There's an opening at the top, where the black bit normally is. So i can water them and trim them.
