Description
It's been in there about 10 months now, and it's still not overgrown the bulb. Slow grower maybe?Edit: it's gone. To those curious; I removed the black glass insulator on the bottom allowing it to be watered and plants put in. Grab a light globe and have a look if you want to see

This is adorable! I have a very similar bulb-glass, but mine has seaglass, crystal stones, and a "marimo" ball in it, which is also known as spherical algae. So mine is a mini aquarium of different sorts!

So pretty in that kind of way...looks like some kind of science project Honey Lemon from Big Hero 6 would make when she's little.

Such a nicely simple, and powerful, example of the natural and man-made world coming together.

That is SO cool! I am totally going to try this...
So, what do you do, put some fertilizer in, a few seeds, put in the window, water it, and let it grow? I can't imagine it needs much watering...maybe a sprinkle once a month? Very cool, dear, VERY cool.

Hi there,
I built a light bulb terrarium following your instructions! It turned out pretty decently... but I was wondering one thing: how did you get your glass so clean?? I have dirt all down the sides!
Any tips?
Thanks! Your creation was inspiring.

Upload a pic!
A bit of wire with some paper towel twisted on the end works quite well
