Description
Well, this is my first time trying out terragen, and I thought I'd make a sea/cloud scape and then Id have another go at "From the sky, land in sea" (A previous piece) in Photoshop.Well this one is a bit different to the From the sky .... one, the impact isnt as close and doesnt have as much detail, and its got different colours and a space scene etc.
I really enjoyed making this one, terragen is a great program, and I think I'll be doing more of terraspace in the future!
So tell me what you think, everything's by me, and comments and favs are really appreciated

Great rendering. Although it's a common trend to do the StarScape into LandScape artworks, i still don't mind seeing it executed with such great style
The semi-realism of the render really lets me get immeresed in the scenery and... well, i'm starting to ramble. I'll just say it's good!

man that's just awesome- i dont think i would regret that being the last thing i saw... but yea dieing=no fun. if i had to make any sugestion i would say make the very top of the image fade to a more blackish, like night so you could see the stars and planets better

Beautifull work sumopiggy, its simple but very very effective with its strong lighting. Great use of the red palette aswell ^^.
Love it.

Man, if you were in charge of what happened to our poor planet, I'd leave, lol!!! Anyway....To be honest, I didn't realize that was a meteor or whatever until I read the description...to me it looked like the sun and some strange textured stuff coming out from it..I'd somehow make it more apparent that that is indeed some sort of object about to hit the water. Also, I think the water is maybe a bit too rough, but if, since a meteorish object is soon to hit, you want rougher water, then that's fine. Now...I reeeeeally like the color scheme...angry and harsh, which fits the idea very well. The planet at the top is also good-- good texture, etc. The clouds are nice, as well, almost tooo calm to be believable, which also fits the piece. But my favorite part of this piece is the angle--that sets up everything. It would not be half as good without that tilt--it almost makes it seem like the world is falling, tilting, crashing... and you're viewing it, and your head's swimming, or something...well anyway, I like the perspective...overall good job on this.

In a way... the title cannot be bet. However, without the picture the title wouldn't be worth anything.

And that's one of your FIRST Terragen pieces?
I like! I hope you make more!
(that reminds me, to get cracking on some new Terra pieces once I've finished my move.)

This looks awesome! The title fits perfectly well. The asteroid and planet look great! and you did a nice job on the clouds, considering you used Terragen. ^^ The only thing that bugs me is the water...kinda looks crater-ish lol.
Overall very nice job!

Great piece sumopiggy!
(I'm unsure though as to weather the streak going top-right of the sun are clouds, planetary rings, or perhaps meteor trails...)
Well done, it's very pungent.

amazing work. The faint stars and the comet/meteor in the top left are pretty good touch. The firebal its self is wonderful done. lots of detail. pretty realistic. I like how it's reflection can be seen in the water. and the clouds dontlook 2D! lol. Nice work

good space-scene and nice transition to the terragen part...which is good too....play a bit more with the water-settings...and maybe add some terrain at the horizon, will definitely add some depth to the image

Astheitcs wise i would have lowerd the camera and slowed more sky and less water. I liike the way you used the sun a a comet though..

Thanks
I tried making the camera higher, but the atmosphere or something went different and it didnt look as good, and I could have cropped it in PS, but I thought it looked ok like this anyway
I cant wait to experiment more with terrain

no lower the camera hieght so it hovers like 50m above the water then pitch the camera up to get the desired land/sky ratio... it gives a better depth of field IMHO
