Wow Snakes stop making new OCs!

Quick sketch, as a funfact this used to be a power ranger OC~ Specifically the blue reef shark (original yess)

aaanyway this is Lana. She's a Pacific islander, dyes her hair blue (but not her eyebrows) and once kayaked between the hawaiian islands to see if she could. She's now a shinigami and a seated officer of the fifth (I might make her a lieutenant since I can't find a fitting canon). She's got a fire-based zanpakuto that she couldn't control when she was younger (hence the scars) and all around she's mellow... you might actually think she was stoned constantly because she's just chill~ super chill. Very friendly, but doesn't seem very bright because of some of the things that come out of her mouth are just... out there.

She also used to be....physically a guy. She was trangsexual as a human and suffered major gender dysphoria, but there was nothing to be done with it at the time so she just lived as a man. When she died, her soul came out female and it was probably the happiest revelation of her life (afterlife)~ This is probably why she's so relaxed, she suffered a lot as a human and now she couldn't be more content with her life C:

Name: Lana Mahi'ai (formerly named Lalonela Mahi'ai)

Nationality: Native Hawaiian

Hair: Dark Brown, dyed a blue gradient

Build: Stocky, rather muscular and keeps it on easily thanks to some latent physical male tendencies, which also lends to a harder time accumulating fat. She has an 'inverted triangle' body type, and her shoulders are a bit wider than her hips.

Distinguishing marks: Burn scars down her left arm
- Numerous Kakau tattoos- across her shoulderblades, down her spine, and all around her lower legs. She used to have more (some on her face), but got them removed because she felt she had to re-earn them in this new life

Occupation: Co-Lieutenant (?) of Division 5

Former occupation: Unseated, Division 6, Various seats, Division 5

Zanpakuto: Pauahi (End Fire). Sealed is a 13" dagger resembling a Koa knife

Release: Command- 'E Hö'ike Aku' (Test) (sorry if my translation is a little off, I just ran through a crash course in Hawaiian verb grammer haha)
Appears as a 51" Kao spear

Reiatsu: Orange-yellow

Brief personality: Lana is, as described above, relaxed to a fault. It seems impossible to shake her contentment with life, and she is one of the few souls that is really just purely happy with what she has in life. After suffering so long with gender dysphoria, her one desire in life has been filled, so to most she's basically high all the time. Lana has an interestingly non-linear thought process, and because of it will spurt seemingly random and unrelated things during conversations. She is rather kind, and wants people to achieve the contentment she has, since there's nothing else she really needs in her life. She does have a slight competitive streak, and likes pushing herself to her limits and trying new things, making her a rather well-rounded shinigami. She's persistant (but calm about it haha), and believes if you want something hard enough, you can work to achieve it. (she's a living testament to that after all). She also has deep respect for customs and traditions, and still follows the customs of her roots. This also makes her rather curious about others, and often spends her free time simply socializing and getting to know people and their history. To her, everyone has a fascinating story to tell, and although rather quiet and mellow, she is very sociable and a pretty big extrovert~
